Riëtte Engels-Van Zyl
Biography
Riëtte focuses on corporate commercial and tax law, with an emphasis on private equity, mergers & acquisitions, and BEE transactions.
She often advises multinationals on corporate structuring and multi-jurisdictional tax implications. She assists corporates in complex tax dispute resolution involving tax and business rescue issues with the South African revenue authority.
During the past 10 years, Riёtte has also been a tax law lecturer for master degree tax students at the University of Johannesburg and features as one of the major contributing authors in Juta’s Income Tax annual commentary.
